After “protective edge” operation started July 8, 2014, a cease-fire was declared on August 26 in Gaza. In addition to the material destruction, the death toll is particularly heavy with more than 2,000 casualties, including about a quarter of children, and more than 10,000 wounded. Medical needs remain very high, especially in terms of postoperative care, rehabilitation and mental health.
